Anointed Called Believer

"Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth?
Saith the Lord: shall I cause to bring forth,
and shut the womb Saith thy God."

Angela L. Corprew-Boyd has always been one to set her mind on things she hoped for, knowing that God was able to perform them. The eighth child of ten, she didn’t allow the negative statistics she heard as she was growing up to hinder her from pursuing her destiny. Understanding what a mighty seed she was carrying, she allowed God to anoint and appoint her to do His will. She has adopted Philippians 1:6 as her motto: “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (KJV).

With a passion to see and assist God’s people to walk in their purpose, she has an anointed fervor to teach and preach the unadulterated truth of God’s Word through two ministries God led her to start; Women Empowered in the Millennium, Inc. and Angela Corprew-Boyd Ministries, Inc. Praying that they will embrace what will escort them to their destiny, Angela’s desire is that men and women separate their pain from their pursuit of purpose while “forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before” (Phil. 3:13). She impresses upon her listeners the need to unmask themselves and confront both who they really are and the real-life issues trying to keep them from fulfilling their dreams. Since the inception of her ministries, Angela has traveled nationally as well as to London, Africa, and Jamaica to teach and preach the gospel and to serve as a conference consultant. Her Empowered Leadership Training Sessions have allowed her to minister to deacons, pastors, and missionaries; men, women and youth; and at the annual Virginia Union University Samuel DeWitt School of Theology Leadership Training Conference. She is also the author and publisher of Preparation for the Ultimate Purpose: If I Perish, let Me Perish, But I’m Next and Church Hurt: The Wounded Trying to Heal.

The Lord has afforded Angela the opportunity to pursue higher education. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in English with a minor in Speech from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Her master’s degree in urban education/administration and personnel management was obtained from Norfolk State University, and her doctoral degree in strategic leadership is from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is an assistant principal in the Chesapeake public schools system and an adjunct professor at Norfolk State University. After being ordained elder in the gospel ministry, God appointed her to the staff at First Baptist Church, Berkley in Norfolk Virginia where she served faithfully for five years as the assistant to the pastor. Her spiritual covering is Rev. Dr. Kim W. and Elder Dr. Valerie Brown, the Pastors of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA.

Dr. Corprew-Boyd is married and the proud parent of three children, Devin, Donovan, and Dawn.
